In chapter one the book stresses the concept of the “user experience.” One definition which is given of this is “how people feel about a product and their pleasure and satisfaction when using it, looking at it, holding it, and opening or closing it.” Designers cannot design the user experience, but only design for the user experience they wish to invoke . We have all had countless user experiences throughout our lives both good and bad. Name one of your most enjoyable user experiences and one of your least enjoyable user experiences. What made these interactions so enjoyable/unpleasant? What could the designers have done in order to remedy the unpleasant experience?
